Harvest and Handrcream

Ealier in my blog I told you about my Harvest and Handcream Marketing I am doing with Melissa Fielding.

Items you will need:
Basket with Leaves
Paper to put on the leaves inviting them to bring 3 friends
A Model Makeover Postcard giving them details and it serves as the invitation.
We are going out with a basket of styrofoam leaves on a skewer stick with feathers.  Attached to the skewer is a note that says' "HARVEST AND HANDCREAM"  bring three friends and get a full size handcream.

Here is what we do:  We go to business offices because we want strong, sharp Women.  We are looking for our future Directors.  We then walk in and say "

"Hi my name is Tammy and this is Melissa we are with Mary Kay"  "Don't worry, we are not selling anything"!  "What we are doing is the month of November is Harvest and Handcream and we are out honoring Women.  (Hand her the leaf)!  Say so do you feel honored?  lol1 (hand her the postcard with all the Model Makeover information) we are also having a Model Makeover Contest and you could win a Cash prize! (this is something we are doing in the top gun area).  What we do is have you come and we take a before picture, do some skincare and makeup and then take an after picture.  It's just a face Model not a runway Model (laugh)!

She will say when, how, what do I need to do, is it free,  whatever she says is great.  Remember questions are good.

"I forgot to tell you we are professional makeup artsists and we have a studio, it's not in the back of our white van ha ha ha!  We hold our appointments on Tuesday nights, Wednesday nights and Friday nights which works best for you?  Fill our her card with the date and time and address and then take her information.

Book her for the date then tell her as you point to her leaf.  Remember this month is Harvest and Handcream and if you bring three friends you will get a FREE full size HANDCREAM, besides it is much more fun with friends anyway!

Can I get your name and a phone number I can text you?  We customize all of your skincare in a Gift bag.  You are going to be spoiled.  Great _________________  I can't wait.  I will text you this week.

The next part is key so you can get sales at your appointment:  say
" Now there is no pressure to buy but we are a full store so if you fall in love with something, you can definately take it home that night.

Text her that night saying, it was so much fun meeting you today.  I need to know if you prefer lipgloss or lipstick for your goodie bag.  NO MATTER WHAT SHE SAYS you say "great I will have the perfect one for you.  (you just put a sample in her goodie bag).

Two days later you send a text saying "Hi, this is Tammy with Mary Kay.  I am so excited for your Model Makeover on _______________  I am putting the final touches on your gift back and need to know if your skin is normal, dry, combination or oily?

No matter what she says I always say.

"Great I have the perfect skincare system for you"!  Then you say are you going to be using the FREE Handcream offer.  If YES  You say great can I please get the names and numbers of those ladies?  I want to make sure to have their bags customized to make them feel special.

Then you followup with the friends and see if they would like to get a free handcream.

Last text is "Hi this is Tammy with Mary Kay.  I am so excited to see you tomorrow at your Model Makeover.  I have everything ready for you.  Do you have any questions for me?

I am grateful for Apples

I am so grateful for my apple tree in my back yard.  We can use the apples for so many things.  I will share them with friends and family.

It is nice to produce your own food.  I have never been so grateful for apples in all of my life.  It is amazing how when you look through the lense of gratitude, you see a world of things to be grateful for.

Today personal vs business

Today was an amazing day!  I took my two boys and my Mary Kay Power Partner and we went and checked out USU!  My boys are Seniors in high School; so we are trying tro find colleges for them.
We had a tour that lasted 41/2 hours.  I thought it would of been shorter but it wasn't.  We looked at the Student Housing, Campus and then we had lunch and Aggies Icecream all on the dollar of the college.  Coye is going to be an Aggie and Cody we aren't sure as of yet.

I came home, made a sandwhich and started coaching my classes for this week.  I then made contacting Leaves to take tomorrow to get leads.  I needed to do more with my Mary Kay but today was really about my boys.

I have a huge goal that Melissa and I are starting tomorrow.  We are going to get 120 faces this month regardless of the circumstances!  We will need to book about 58 people per week to hold.  We are excited and are "hell bent" on making this happen.  We go contacting twice a week so that is 29 per time we go contacting and that is each.  We are going to finish Directorship by December 31st and Car.  Did I forget to mention that neither of us are in DIQ as of yet?

We will do this I can feel it.

So today wasn't my most productive day ever.  My guests didn't confirm nor did they come.  I was very glad.  I think I wished them away!

Melissa and I went to the store today to get our marketing things for the month of November.  It is going to be so cute.  I will blog on it later

I met Melissa at the center tonight and we cleaned out our closet.  It was nice because it is so organized and I absolutely love it now.  We have made our goals for November and they are quite lofty.  I know we can make them because we have a plan.

I took my nephew Ted to look at model homes today.  I love doing this!  My biggest dream is to have a really nice spacious home to have all my family meet in!  I know I will have this in the next two to three years.  I am so excited!

Welcome to my Blog

Welcome to my Road to Directorship Blog.

I decided to track my road to Directorship because I have had this goal for along time and it seems I have been spinning my wheels.  This is no one's fault but mine because I have amazing leaders, trainers, Directors and Nationals who have taught and trained me to do the right things.

I want to track my progress, trials, fears, failures and success!  I am hoping this blog will help me to finish diq and get to Atlanta and maybe help others to get through quicker and not make the same mistakes I have made.

Hold on tight because I am doing it this time.

Today is Thursday October 20,2011 and I will be in DIQ December 1st and Director on January 1, 2012.  How is this possible you ask?  I have a plan, desire and drive.  Watch me conquer!

Hold on tight and have fun! :)
